Woodblock Printing

A one day Woodblock printing workshop at Grow Slow in Bridport, hosted by Adele Scantlebury.

This course is suitable for beginners, as well as those who are familiar with the techniques and just want to play for a day.

You will be introduced to a selection of materials – papers, inks, tools and blocks.

We will look at how to simplify an image and distil it down to light and dark – and also consider working in reverse!

You will learn how to carve and print from a block that you have designed and by the end of the day be able to take a couple of your own original prints home. As time is limited, we suggest that you come with a simple drawing or image that you want to interpret as a woodblock print.

Ticket price £95 pp includes a hot drink, a piece of cake and lunch from our Pack Horse Cafe – if you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know.
